The first early release will be October 2. · Reminder that the office does not have a petty cash fund available to make change for students. · Paris & Amsterdam -- Spring Break 2020 : Global Culture is currently organizing a trip for students who would like to visit these two global meccas to learn about foreign culture, art, history, try new foods, and acquire valuable life skills. Find out more about this exciting trip Monday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m. in room 107 .... or see Ms. Mayberry or Mrs. Harper. · Class Meetings: SR – September 9 ; JR – September 16; FR – September 23; SO – September 30. · Any student interested in being in Interact can sign up on the sheet posted in the Commons or see Mrs. Campbell for more information. Interact is a community service organization that is affiliated with the Fort Scott Rotary club. The first meeting is Tuesday, September 10 during AP. · Scholars' Bowl will start practice at lunch Tuesday, September 10 in room 120. Take your lunch. See Ms. Lewis if you have any questions. · Ed Rising will meet for the first time on Tuesday, the 10 th , during activity period. Individuals interested in a career in Education should plan to attend. Meeting will be in room 120. · Key Club will meet for the first time on Thursday, the 12 th , during activity period. Individuals interested in community service and Kiwanis should plan to attend. Meeting will be in room 120. · Want to know what is going on in GC Diversity club, Key Club, or any other activities? FSHS Student Council will host an Activity Fair on September 13 from 5:30-6:30 before the start of the first home football game on the northwest side of the high school building. Each club or activity will get an opportunity to showcase their club and school spirit with a booth to emphasis their specialty. · FSHS Thespian Improv Team practice will be each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:40-5:00 in the auditorium. All students interested in being on the team are welcome. No experience necessary. The first performance will be at "Art in the Yard" September 14. If you have any questions, see Ms. Bin or Mr. Bergmann. · If your date to the fall homecoming dance does not attend FSHS, you need to sign your date up in the office. You will need your dates name, if they attend another high school or college, and their age. Middle school students are not allowed, nor anyone over 21. Your date needs to be signed up by the end of lunch Monday, September 16. · Those wanting to join Student Council but unable to attend the meeting last week on the 29th need to stop by Ms. Lewis’ room 120 to pick up an application and meeting dates. Applications are due back to Ms. Lewis by September 18 . If the dues are a concern, talk to her. · Josten’s will be here to hand out class ring order packets to sophomores on Monday, September 23. They’ll be back for orders on the 26 th .
